This course merges two dynamic fields into a single, project-based learning experience, tailored for students eager to explore the intersection of creative design and strategic marketing. Marketing and Graphic Design covers the essentials of both disciplines, from understanding target audiences and crafting brand identities to developing visual communication strategies and digital content creation. Students will work collaboratively to conceptualize, design, and implement marketing campaigns, utilizing graphic design to enhance message clarity and engagement. Creating logos, advertisements, and digital marketing materials, students will not only refine their design skills but also gain insight into how visual elements can be leveraged to achieve marketing objectives. This integrated approach equips students with the skills to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.

Completion of this course requires regular access to a laptop or desktop computer with working microphone and webcam, as well as a reliable internet connection.

This Fixed-Paced course incorporates a blend of synchronous and asynchronous elements. Students and teacher meet live via zoom on a regular weekly schedule. In addition, students complete coursework including guided readings, interactive videos, text and video-based discussion threads, problem sets, individual and collaborative projects, and so on. While these activities are time-flexible, teachers sequence them with weekly deadlines to help students keep on track and encourage and support the development of productive time management skills.
