Dive into the world of robotics through immersive virtual simulations! In this course, students explore the fundamentals of robotics engineering without the need for physical hardware. Utilizing advanced software platforms, they design, build, and program virtual robots to tackle a variety of challenges. From constructing sturdy structures to programming intricate behaviors, participants develop essential skills in mechanical design, sensors and control systems, and coding languages. The course emphasizes problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork as students collaborate to find creative solutions. Through captivating simulations and interactive activities, they will gain hands-on experience with robotics concepts, preparing them for future studies or competitions in this rapidly growing field.

Completion of this course requires regular access to a laptop or desktop computer with working microphone and webcam, as well as a reliable internet connection.

This Fixed-Paced course incorporates a blend of synchronous and asynchronous elements. Students and teacher meet live via zoom on a regular weekly schedule. In addition, students complete coursework including guided readings, interactive videos, text and video-based discussion threads, problem sets, individual and collaborative projects, and so on.
