In Physics, students will explore the foundations of the world around us: matter, force and energy. Through interactive lessons, guided investigations, and practical and virtual labs students will develop fluency with the basic laws and concepts of mechanics, light, sound, and electricity. Topics covered will include measurement, the constant velocity model, the uniform acceleration model, the free particle model, net force, motion in two dimensions, uniform circular motion, energy, momentum, and fluid forces. Throughout, students will focus on practical applications and connect course concepts to developments in the contemporary world.
Note: This course includes a lab component and requires the purchase of additional materials.
