This course focuses on developing the students’ communication skills. Several themes provide the necessary context: the francophone regions, the geography and history of France, Paris and its neighborhoods, francophone music, art, film, and literature. Students engage in activities meant to explore francophone cultures as well as review, expand, and deepen their knowledge of grammatical concepts and vocabulary. Students are expected to engage thoughtfully with the course materials, the teacher, and the other students.
