Building upon the foundational knowledge acquired in Arabic 1, this course elevates students’ proficiency in the language and deepens their engagement with the cultures of the Arabic-speaking world. Students continue to practice the four essential language skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing. They will significantly broaden their vocabulary and enhance their ability to and sustain longer conversations on a variety of topics. Students will also explore the rich traditions, history, and societal norms of Arab countries, further integrating cultural understanding with language learning. The curriculum is designed to foster a deeper comprehension of grammatical structures, enabling students to write with greater accuracy in Arabic script. By the end of this course, students will be equipped with the skills needed to navigate more complex communicative scenarios and gain a profound appreciation for the diversity of the Arabic-speaking world.
Completion of this course requires regular access to a laptop or desktop computer with working microphone and webcam, as well as a reliable internet connection.
