This course is the equivalent of a college-level introductory Psychology course. Students will explore theories, key concepts, and studies behind our understanding of human behavior and mental processes. Topics covered will include the biological bases of behavior, sensation and perception, learning and cognition, motivation, developmental psychology, testing and individual differences, treatments of psychological disorders, and social psychology. Students will hone their ability to analyze data, evaluate claims, and draw conclusions based on evidence. On successful completion of this course, students will be prepared to sit the AP Psychology exam.
