This course is the equivalent of a college-level introductory Comparative Government course. Students will deepen their understanding and appreciation of the range of political systems outside the United States through an in-depth comparative study of six select countries: China, Iran, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, and the United Kingdom. They will critically analyze varying political systems’ approaches to common problems as well as learn to read and interpret data, make comparisons and applications, and develop evidence-based arguments. On completion of this course, students will be prepared to sit the AP Comparative Government and Politics exam.
